ITF World Championships, Jesolo
Italy
Romy Mottershead and Izzy Brider from the Trident TKD Academy
represented ITF England at the 19 Senior and 13
Junior ITF World Championships that took place in Jesolo Italy between the 27-31
May 2015. The Championships
attracted 1019 competitors from 53 countries comprising 586 seniors and 433
juniors. ITF England took a large
contingent of 79 competitors, coaches, officials, umpires and spectators. At the outset I place on record thanks
to the organising committee and all the umpires and officials that allowed for
well-organised and friendly Championships. |

On behalf of the Taekwon-Do UK Executive, it gives me great pleasure to invite you to attend the 1st ITF England Championships. This Taekwon-Do event is open to all coloured belt and Black Belt competitors with ITF England membership.
Please note that, as always, this is a goodwill event and we want each division to be as fair as possible. All junior categories will be designed on age, weight and height to keep physical and mental development as even as possible, so please fill out the entry forms correctly. |

We went to this competition with a small team of 5 competitors, 2 coaches and 1 official. It was the first competition of the year for most of the team so we had low expectations on winning medals. I am very happy to say that I was very happy with the results on the day. The competition was very strong and the categories were a good size. To reach the medal rounds you had to win at least to rounds. Here are the team members and results:

Welcome to the Trident Squad 2014 Blog. I am going to update all activities of the Trident Squad during 2014 so anybody who is interested can see the results of all our competitions that we enter.
Anybody who is interested in joining the squad please contact James Miley - Email: [email protected] or Mobile: 07974 649 015. Any age is invited to join the squad if you are disciplined and would like to compete in competitions. The grade is also open although I would recommend that you had been training for a year with us so that you can understand the basic kicks and movements of Taekwon-Do. |

I would like to congratulate all the competitors that took part in the Trident Black Belt League. The competition was a success in that it brought students who would not have normally competed at this level together. I would like to thank all the officials who gave up their time to help me run this event. As always without you we could not do these events.

Report on the Open Dutch
Tournament held in Best Holland 19 January 2014
Izzy and Jeff Brider joined 750 competitors and over 80 officials to
take part in the annual Open Dutch tournament hosted by Master Willy Van der
Mortel. The competition took place
in Best in Holland, which is located a short distance away from Eindhoven.
We travelled by air from Manchester to Amsterdam and then took a two-hour
train journey to Eindhoven and then to Best. Upon arrival in Best Izzy weighed in and meet a number of friends
mad at other tournaments in the Netherlands. |

ITF European Championships 2012
On the 20th to 22nd April, the 27th Senior and 18th Junior European ITF Championships were held in Maribor, Slovenia. We were incredibly proud of our T-UK members who travelled out to take part in the championships. Representing the T-UK and their respective countries were:

Trident Sweep the Board at T-UK English Championships
The inaugural T-UK English Championships took place on Saturday 19 November at Stratford-on-Avon and the Trident Group of clubs was represented by a large contingent of competitors. It was pleasing to see a new batch of students who were competing in their first national competition.
After a short address by Mr John Archer (VI) proceedings commenced and competitors and judges alike were kept busy on the seven squares that had been set up. |
